WINTER 2025

2.24.25

Hello! Like many others, I am exhausted with social media. I thought this might be a healthier alternative to keeping friends updated on what I’m doing/working on. I aspirationally plan to post on here around once a month.

It’s been cold in New York, and I still haven’t gotten rid of my Christmas tree.

In January I began working part-time at Bode, doing illustrations for the senior cord collection. It’s been a great experience surrounded by really kind and talented people, and it’s been nice to split up my week between working at the studio and working at home on my freelance editorial work.

I miss drawing comics, so I’ll try to get in the habit of making a few panels for each blogpost. Here’s my walk home from work on a snowy evening last week:

Last month I also announced a big project I’ve been working on with my friend Zander! It’s a literary and visual arts magazine called The Barley Field, aimed at showcasing emerging talent in the arts. Our open call for Issue 1 closes at the end of the month, so please apply or share with whoever might be interested. The project has been in the works for a while now, and we’re very excited to get started working on the release of the first issue.

Maybe someday I should move somewhere with warmer winters, but for now I’ll just wait for spring.

That’s all for now!

Here’s a winter playlist that I’ve made for your enjoyment
