VERNAL EQUINOX vol. 2
Volume 2 (2023)
Volume 2 of Vernal Equinox, the yearly zine I started in 2022.
In 2023, from the first week of the New Year until the first day of Spring, I was in Japan. During my stay, I tried to maintain a practice of doing a single sketchbook drawing every day. I restricted myself to starting and completing my drawings on-site, so most of them are of my room, my seat at the cafe or bar, or a view from a park bench.
While the first zine featured recreations of memories over the course of 2021 and 2022 that were important to me, volume 2 features sketchbook drawings that were created in the moment. My goal of both has been the same: to remind myself and others to slow down and take stock of small moments in life that are meaningful.
